In Vienna, Austria blocked the operation of the taxi Uber

The Commercial Court of the Austrian capital admitted that the methods of operation of the Uber did not comply with the rules established for the Vienna taxis.

In Austria, the commercial court of Vienna blocked the Uber taxi service in the capital of the country. This is referring to the message of the company that filed a lawsuit Taxi 40100 on Wednesday, April 25, the agency Reuters.


In particular, the court acknowledged that the methods of operation of Uber do not comply with the rules established for the Vienna taxi. According to lawyer Taxi 40100, for any violation of the injunction Uber faces a fine of up to € 100 thousand.


At the same time, a representative of Uber promised to adapt the rules to the laws and stated that the service would work again within a few days.


Recall that in the autumn of 2017, Uber was banned in London. The local transport department admitted that the service did not meet the requirements of a taxi.


Attempts to ban Uber were also made in Russia, Italy, Denmark, France, Taiwan, Finland, Spain, Greece, Slovakia, Israel.


Uber launched in Europe in 2011. Many local taxi drivers and officials have accused the service that it does not follow the rules regarding insurance, licenses and safety regulations.
