In Spain, seized a record deal of cocaine

In Spain, the police found almost nine tons of cocaine in a load of bananas from Colombia. This is a record lot for Europe, found in one container, according to the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Spain on Wednesday, April 25.

Drugs found among 1,080 boxes of bananas, which brought a Colombian ship to the port of Algeciras in Spain. The total weight of seized cocaine was 8.47 tons.

On suspicion of drug smuggling six people were detained - four in Spain and two in France.

Recall that in December 2017 in the port of Algeciras seized nearly six tons of cocaine from Colombia. This batch of drugs was valued at 210 million euros.
