She stated this on the margins of the international conference on Syria in Brussels on Wednesday, April 25, RIA Novosti reported.

Magerini recalled the position of the European Union, according to which the guarantor states of the Astana process must fulfill their obligations and provide a truce in Syria. They should also contribute to the participation of Syria in the negotiations in Geneva under the aegis of the UN, she said.

The day before, US President Donald Trump had invited the regional states to send troops to Syria. Thus, according to his plan, they will pay for the continuation of the military presence in the republic.

Earlier, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubair stated that the kingdom was ready to send its troops to Syria, if such a proposal was made by Riyadh from the Western coalition.
